Spring conference 2008, 10 April 2008, AgroParisTech
The agri-food industry is currently facing fast and unexpected changes in the international situation. The prices of cereals and other raw materials have been skyrocketing and the development of biofuels is having notable consequences on agricultural production systems.
These changes have become a major concern for the entire animal production sector and comprehensive trend analyses are required.
The first part of the conference will focus on global analyses of the recent changes and on their short, middle and long term consequences. The second part will focus on the same issue, but seen through the prism of the main livestock systems and their associated production chains.
